1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using mentorOS ("the Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and mentorOS. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and such modifications will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service following any modifications indicates your acceptance of the modified Terms.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service. By using mentorOS, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Description of Service

mentorOS is an AI-powered personal growth and mentorship platform designed to help users develop self-awareness, track life domains, identify behavioral patterns, and achieve personal goals through guided conversations and progress tracking.

The Service includes:

• AI mentorship conversations with perpetual memory
• Behavioral pattern recognition and tracking
• Life domain assessment and scoring across nine dimensions
• Daily check-ins and mood tracking
• Commitment tracking with follow-up accountability
• Progress reports and analytics (daily, weekly, and monthly)
• An achievement and milestone system
• Data export tools

Important Disclaimer

The Service does NOT include and is NOT a substitute for:

• Professional therapy or clinical mental health treatment
• Licensed counseling or psychological services
• Medical advice or diagnosis
• Legal advice or representation
• Financial planning or investment advice
• Crisis intervention services

3. Subscription and Billing

Plans

mentorOS offers two subscription tiers:

• Committed ($29/month), Up to 30 AI conversations per day, weekly progress reports, and core mentorship features.
• Unlimited ($59/month), Unlimited AI conversations, all four mentorship intensity modes, daily, weekly, and monthly reports, advanced analytics, and priority support.

Free Trial

A 7-day free trial is available for new users. You will not be charged unless you actively choose to subscribe after the trial period ends.

Billing

Active subscriptions are billed monthly on the anniversary of your subscription start date. Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through Settings → Account → Subscription. Upon cancellation, you retain access to your current plan features through the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused portions of a billing period.

Refunds

Refund requests made within the first 30 days of an initial subscription are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@mentoros.ai with your request.

4. User Accounts and Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.

You agree to use the Service in good faith for personal growth and development purposes.

5. Permitted and Prohibited Uses

Permitted Uses

• Personal growth conversations
• Goal setting and accountability tracking
• Life domain assessment and improvement
• Pattern exploration and self-awareness development
• Progress tracking and reporting

Prohibited Uses

• Sharing your account credentials with others
• Using the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or exploit the system or its underlying technology
• Using automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
• Harassing, impersonating, or harming other users through the platform
• Using the AI to generate content that is harmful, threatening, abusive, or illegal
• Attempting to circumvent usage limits or security measures

6. Intellectual Property

The mentorOS platform, including its design, features, code, algorithms, branding, and documentation, is the intellectual property of mentorOS and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Content you create within the platform (messages, reflections, check-in data) belongs to you. You grant mentorOS a limited license to process this content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

AI-generated responses are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit AI responses as standalone content.

7. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

mentorOS does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. AI-generated responses are generated content based on patterns and training data and may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your specific situation.

You acknowledge that mentorOS is a personal development tool and not a licensed professional service. Decisions made based on AI guidance are your own responsibility.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MENTOROS AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to mentorOS in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless mentorOS and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

9. Termination

By You

You may terminate your account at any time through Settings → Account → Delete Account. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Abuse of the platform or other users
• Non-payment of subscription fees
• Any other reason at our reasonable discretion with notice where practicable

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We recommend exporting your data before terminating your account.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, it shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in accordance with its Commercial Arbitration Rules.

You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis and not as part of a class, consolidated, or representative action.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform interface and via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
